The French Alps – A Summertime Playground for All Ages

It’s time. Time to travel again… Time for some galivanting in the glory of the great outdoors. Get vaccinated (if you aren’t already) – and head for the hills – or mountains, rather!

The French Alps are a surprisingly stunning place to go for a super summer holiday. And we invite you specifically to our little neck of the woods - Haute-Alpes - which forms part of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of south-east France.

Be assured that from the word ‘Go‘ we have all the necessary protocols in place, in accordance with what is required by the local government, for a safe and zero-stress stay in Montgenèvre. We share our ‘Book with Confidence’ guide that gives you the low down on booking, travel, and the necessary policies in order to operate safely and successfully, with your summer holiday in mind. We truly look forward to welcoming you to the perfect place to get away, from the UK or wherever your journey starts.

The official stance on travel rules to France

With the re-opening of its borders, the UK has currently labelled an “orange country” as per France’s colour-coded system. This means that you can travel to France from the UK, within these conditions:

Be fully vaccinated and be in possession of a valid, negative covid test as well as a self-certified ‘sworn statement’ confirming no symptoms associated with the coronavirus and no contact with confirmed cases up to two weeks upon arrival.

Further information about travel to France from the UK relating to conditions of entry can be found here.

“EU countries have agreed on a coordinated approach to the restriction of free movement in response to the coronavirus pandemic. This includes a colour code for the classification of regions, based on the epidemiological situation there”.

More details on the stipulations and conditions, regarding the health status of your country - which you will find useful - can be found on the EU website page Re-open EU.

A special place – wide open space, fresh mountain air, and a time to revitalise…

So pack your bags, without further ado, as there is no time like the present and no place like the Alps for sun and fun. There is a mountain of activities that await your arrival and we at Go Montgenèvre are ready for you.

We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy a safe, well-planned, financially secure, and all-around successful holiday, especially during these extraordinary times. Trust us to leave no stone unturned when it comes to your holiday - we know how precious and long overdue it is.

We offer you genuine and sound advice, whether you simply have a query or would like help with booking accommodation or advice on the best way to get to us. On that note, we recommend the safest option - that you take a road trip and self-drive the journey. Alternatively, take a flight to Grenoble or Lyon and we will arrange an airport transfer for you - door-to-door, safe, stress-free and professional – with our associates at Snow Cab.

Summer holidays, Haute-Alpes…. and BREATHE.
