Train Travel to Montgenevre 2023/2024 Update

We're thrilled to see so many of our guests making the eco-conscious choice to swap the skies for the rails on their journey to the French Alps. Travelling by train is not only a more sustainable option, reducing emissions and lessening your carbon footprint, but it's also an incredibly convenient and scenic way to reach the mountains. So, hop on board, kick back, and relish the picturesque vistas as you traverse the magnificent mountain landscapes, all while knowing you're contributing to greener choices for the future of sustainable ski holidays.

For Winter 2023/2024, there are a few changes to the typical train route to Montgenèvre. The direct train from Paris to Oulx won't be running for this coming winter due to a landslide situation with ongoing repair work. Official information currently indicates that this will continue until June 2024.

Despite the interruption to this route, we've got a couple of fantastic alternatives lined up for you. One option is the overnight sleeper train from Paris Austerlitz to Briancon, which is still running as normal. These tickets become available 90 days before your travel date, and they offer a choice of comfy reclining seats or a variety of cabin beds. As this is currently the only direct route from Paris, we strongly recommend booking your tickets as early as possible to secure your spot and enjoy a seamless journey.

Alternatively, you can take the train to Grenoble and book a transfer from the station to Montgenevre. Or catch a train from Paris to Saint Michel Valloire and then take a transfer to the resort.

Our friendly team is here to assist with transfers to and from nearby train stations. Please enquire with our reservations team for further details on availability and pricing.

As you embark on your journey, know that your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities. We can't wait to welcome you to Montgenevre, where adventure and unforgettable memories await you. So, pack your winter gear and get ready because, as they say, "Winter is coming!"

We look forward to seeing you soon!
