Meal on the mountain in Claviere with Go Montgenevre

Meal on the Mountain is a unique experience I’d recommend to anyone. I mean, who doesn’t want their evening to start with a snowmobile ride up a mountain? Being a bit of a quad and dirt bike nerd I thoroughly enjoyed the trip up to the restaurant. The restaurant in question had a classic atmosphere and style to it, making it quite the cosy contrast to the snow outside.

I was treated to some good wine and what seemed like endless trays of delicious food I had never seen or heard of before. Ranging from cold meats, pastas and the best pork I’ve ever tasted. The staff were attentive and professional, whisking away the finished plates and bringing back new ones in time for the next course.

The evening quickly sped by but it wasn’t at all unfulfilling, quite the opposite in fact. After being well fed and in good spirits I got back on the snowmobile for the ride down. It had felt like an adventure and left me with some great memories as well as a story to tell. I hope I get a chance to do it again the next time I visit the Alps.
